Change or Perish!
I was early for class yesterday, so the usual, I go to one of my favorite hang-out place: "The School Library!" (yeah, I know, I admit, I'm one of the nerdy boys during my high school days, but so what!!!) As always, I entered the comlab to check on my e-mails first and to check on my fan mails (bwahahaha!!!). Still having some ample time with nothing else to do, I had no other choice than to read the newspaper. Coming from a long vacation, I bared myself from opening my books. Besides, I've done my homework already!
Anyways, I glanced upon this very interesting article in the business section of The Philippine Daily Inquirer entitled: "Change or Perish!" by Franco G. del Rosario. Even though the article implies more on the improvement of running a business, change is very important in our everyday lives.
It saddens me so much to know that there are lot of people in this world who tends to become too complacent, most specially in the place where I work! In fact, I really hate people who doesn't want to improve on themselves. Call me a perfectionist or an idealist, but I'm a person who's very much open to change. I like to improve and I like to continuously learn from a lot of things. Maybe that's the reason why Sponge Bob got my attention. I like to make use of what I absorb! I guess in life, we really need to be flexible and dynamic because nothing is constant and everything will always change! As some of you might know, I'm getting married soon (in fact, a few more days!). I decided on this matter not because I was forced too (as what jhett, usually jokes about, grrrr!!!) but because I really want something new. I want something different for my life and from what I'm accustomed to do during my younger years. People do grow up, but that's not bad if we take it on a positive note. Getting old means getting better (try asking my Tatsky about this topic and he'll give you a lot of input!) I'm ready to accept changes in my life and in fact I want to be a "Change Agent". I want to have that opportunity to make things better!
Tomorrow is something different for me, I'll be having the rarest opportunity to be employed with the company I've been dreaming of working for years. If I get this chance, thank you very much God! If I don't, I'd still thank God for it for I know that there will still be a better tomorrow ahead of me. At least, I tried to make some changes in my life. Acceptance is the only key for Change. If we don't, then go perish!
